The museum takes visitors on an experiential journey to the year 2071, which coincides with the centenary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates. The seven-story building has no pillars and is an engineering marvel. The museum presents various futuristic experiences – space travel, the Amazon rainforest, and a spa for the senses. It uses the latest virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, big data analytics, AI, and human-machine interaction. Architecturally, it has no sharp edges and is one of the most streamlined structures in the world. It stands at a height of 77 meters.

Dubai Aquarium:

The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo hold the Guinness World Record for ‘Largest Acrylic Pan’. It is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world. The mall, located in Dubai, is home to more than 33,000 aquatic animals, including more than 140 species. The aquarium houses more than 400 sharks in 10-million-liter tanks. Atlantis Aquaventure and Chamber of Secrets:

Dubai Frame holds the world record of being the largest picture frame. A striking feature is the state-of-the-art glass bridge that connects parallel vertical towers to form the shape of a picture frame. The structure, designed with a decorative mix of glass, reinforced concrete, steel, and aluminum, has an abstract appearance. Miracle Garden:

The Garden of Miracles is one of the most fascinating natural flower gardens in the world. Dubai’s Miracle Garden has more than 150 million flowers in bloom. This 72,000 square meter paradise is blooming with the most beautiful, sweet-smelling flower paradise. The world’s largest natural flower garden has hundreds of floral displays spread across 18 acres (7.3 hectares), creating an extravaganza of colors and scents. The floral creations change with each season ensuring a different experience each time you visit. Mid-November through May is when the garden is open.

Dolphinarium:

Every year during the summer holidays, Dubai Dolphinarium hosts various activities like Kids Summer Camp and Dubai Summer Surprise.

Dubai Dolphinarium in collaboration with Dubai Municipality organized an Autism Awareness Day on April 28, 2011 from various autism care centers and training centers for children with special needs.

In March 2012, the Dubai Dolphinarium hosted its one-millionth visitor, and at this time, some promotional events were on display. Sixty people work at the facility, including customer service representatives and lactation educators.

Animal rights activists first opposed the Dubai Dolphinarium, claiming that it would cause pain and a high dolphin death rate. Activists have also called into question the origins of the Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, claiming that one of the dolphins should never have been born in captivity but rather should have been salvaged from fishermen’s nets and released back into the wild.

In response to accusations that the dolphins in the Dubai Dolphinarium are third-generation dolphins born in captivity, the management has said that the dolphins are happier in their present surroundings and function and are generally healthier than their wild counterparts.

In 2019, the Dubai Dolphinarium came under fire after a trainer posted a video on Instagram of them sitting on a dolphin, prompting Instagram to issue a warning to anyone who searched for “Dubai Dolphinarium”.
